About Pilgrim Companion
Pilgrim Companion provides educational pilgrimage guides, duas, sacred-place information, navigation assistance, group-location tools, and optional account and subscription features.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally capable of agreeing to these terms. You may use guest mode or sign in with Google or Apple. You are responsible for activity performed through your account and for keeping access to your device and provider account secure. Do not impersonate another person or misuse another person’s information.
Religious and educational information
Important: Content is provided for general educational assistance. It is not a substitute for advice from a qualified scholar, official Hajj or Umrah authority, tour operator, medical professional, or emergency service. Religious opinions and pilgrimage requirements may vary; users should consult trusted qualified authorities when necessary.
Navigation, gates, crowds, and location
Maps, gate information, walking estimates, crowd reports, and directions may be incomplete, delayed, or affected by closures, construction, prayer times, crowd control, weather, GPS accuracy, or official operational changes. Always follow signs and instructions from local authorities and venue staff. Do not rely on the app for emergencies or personal safety decisions.
Group Locator
Group Locator is an assistance feature and does not guarantee that a person can be found or continuously tracked. Location can be delayed, inaccurate, or unavailable. Only join groups you trust, obtain any required consent before sharing another person’s information, and do not use the feature for surveillance, harassment, or unlawful purposes.
AI and submitted questions
AI-generated or automated responses may be incomplete or incorrect even when based on selected sources. Verify important religious, medical, legal, travel, and safety information with qualified people or official sources. Do not submit confidential, highly sensitive, unlawful, or third-party personal information.
Subscriptions and purchases
Paid features may be offered through Apple In-App Purchase. Prices and billing periods are shown before purchase. Payment, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are handled under your Apple account and Apple’s applicable terms. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple account settings. Unless required by law, access may end when a subscription expires or is cancelled.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the app unlawfully, fraudulently, or to harm, harass, track, or endanger anyone;
- submit malicious code, interfere with service operation, bypass security, or attempt unauthorized access;
- scrape, copy, reverse engineer, resell, or exploit the app except where applicable law expressly permits it;
- upload or transmit content that violates privacy, intellectual-property, or other rights; or
- misrepresent unofficial app guidance as an instruction from religious or government authorities.
Intellectual property
The app, original branding, interface, software, and original content are owned by or licensed to Hamza Rehan. Third-party material remains the property of its respective owner and may be subject to separate terms and attribution.
Availability and changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, introduce limits, or update these terms. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Continued use after updated terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
Account suspension and deletion
We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, investigate abuse, or enforce these terms. You may delete your authentication account through the app’s account settings. Some information may be retained where legally required or necessary for security and dispute resolution.
Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hamza Rehan will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from use of or inability to use the app. Liability that cannot legally be excluded remains limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without overriding any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
